The Mesquite Championship
Rodeo is the most televised rodeo in the
world.
From 1986 to 1999 TNN televised the
rodeo.
Today the Mesquite Championship Rodeo is
televised on Fox Sport Net Southwest,
Sundays at 12:30 pm CST and re-aired on
Fridays at 1:00 pm CST. This transition to FSN Southwest gives access to 8.3
million households to watch the rodeo.
For the 2008 season, Don Gay and veteran
Dallas-Ft. Worth broadcaster Allen Stone
return to call the TV action.
Shelly Burmeister, a former "Miss Rodeo
America" runner-up, handles
behind-the-chutes interviews.
