Professional competition includes
dangerous bull riding, daring
bullfighter clowns, high flying bronc
riders, brawny steer wrestlers,
sharp-shooting tie-down and team ropers
and flashy cowgirl barrel racers.
Cowboy contestants are all members of
the Professional Rodeo Cowboys
Association (PRCA).
Membership is attained through winning a
prescribed amount of money at PRCA
sponsored rodeos.
 Cowgirl
contestants are all members of the
Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRCA).
