Mesquite Championship Rodeo

Marty Whitaker, Director of Special Events and Customer Service, joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in May 2009.

Marty’s background includes Director of Customer Service for the Frisco RoughRiders; Director of Marketing for Baylor Medical Center at Frisco; along with licensing and merchandise experience with several companies and minor league sports organizations.

Originally from Kansas, Marty and her husband Scott live in Carrollton with their two daughters.

Zandy Carnes joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in February of 2010.

Chrissy Mathews, Manager of Corporate Partnership Sales, joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in November 2009.

Originally from central Illinois, Chrissy started her sports-business career over 5 years ago with the Chicago Bears and a Chicago-Based sports marketing agency. She specialized in Sales, Client Service and Marketing for a network of over 250 sports teams across the country.

Chrissy graduated early from Loyola University Chicago with a double major in Business Administration-Marketing and International Business as well as a minor in Spanish.

In her spare time Chrissy enjoys traveling and quality bonding with family and friends.

Robbin Wilson joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in August of 2009. Robbin is currently enrolled at Eastfield College pursuing her Bachelor’s degree.

In her spare time she loves spending time with family, working out, and enjoys playing and watching sports. She resides in Rockwall, Texas, with her 3 children.

Sherri L Neeley joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in July of 2009, as the Director of Finance.

Sherri graduated with honors from East Central University where she majored in Accounting; she obtained her MBA also with honors, from Oklahoma City University.

She has held management positions with a variety of companies including Trammell Crow, Midlands Management Corporation and United American Health Insurance.

She is an avid reader and enjoys dancing, cooking and sports.

Lauren Hooper, Director of Corporate Partnerships, joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in September 2009.

Prior to joining the team, Lauren was an account coordinator for a public relations firm in Dallas where she gained valuable marketing and event planning experience.

A Texas native, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of North Texas.

Jackson Chase joined Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in May 2010.

Marshall Hervey, Ticket Operations Manager, joined Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in July 2003. Marshall has worked for the Mesquite Championship Rodeo as an Inside Sales Rep, Group and Sponsor Sales Associate, and as Group Sales Manager prior to moving to his current role.

Before joining the Mesquite Championship Rodeo, Marshall was an Operations Intern at the Fort Worth Cats.

Marshall graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Business, and currently resides in Terrell, TX with his wife and son. Marshall enjoys a variety of sports, and spending time with his family.

Adam joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in May of 2009.

He recently graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in Communication Studies. While at UNT he was an active participant in campus theater and a member of the National Communication Association.

Adam enjoys playing and watching sports, watching movies, and has a passion for helping others.

Leo joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in November 2009 after graduating from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While at the UA, he majored in Sports Management and worked many full and part-time jobs to finance his education.

During his time at the UA, Leo has served sport intern positions with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Double A Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, University of Arkansas Razorbacks Women Basketball, and Intramural Recreational Sports.

Leo enjoys watching his Razorbacks, but also enjoys watching a variety of other sports. He enjoys working out and playing basketball in his spare time.

Mike joined Resistol Arena, home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in March 2010. He recently received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Sports Marketing from the world renowned University of Oregon Warsaw Sports Marketing Center.

During his time at UofO, Mike held positions with the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA), Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (Single A Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants), and the University of Oregon Ducks baseball.

Mike enjoys playing sports, traveling, and watching his Ducks. He currently resides in the greater Dallas area.

Devan Brannan, Group Sales, joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in May 2009.

Devan grew up in Breckenridge, Texas, attended Baylor University and graduated from Tarleton State University in May 2009. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

While at Tarleton, Devan worked as the Project Publicity Coordinator for the Business and International Education Initiative (BIEI) and spent time in South America working on an International Business Certification.

Devan loves rodeo, traveling, sports and currently lives in the greater Dallas area.

Joel joined the Resistol Arena,home of the Mesquite Championship Rodeo team in May 2009 after graduating from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas.

While at TLU, Joel majored in Communication Studies and had minors in Business Administration and Public Relations. He started at quarterback on the school’s football team, actively participated in intramural basketball, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Joel is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sport management online at California University of Pennsylvania.

Joel currently resides in Dallas after relocating from San Antonio, TX. He enjoys watching movies, talking sports, and has a passion for bowling.
